Position
Carry the StumpHog™ to the stump and set the base plate flat on the ground directly over it. The center extraction hole aligns above the root ball.
Four stabilizing legs extend outward and press into the earth, locking the device firmly in place. No anchoring tools. No setup crew. Ready in under sixty seconds.

Attach
Feed the heavy-duty extraction cable down through the center hole and loop it securely around the root ball or stump base.
No chains. No complicated rigging. A single locking hook holds the cable firm under full 3,500 lb load tension. One connection. Thirty seconds.

Extract
Press the button. The 3,500 lb electric winch retracts the cable straight up through the center hole — pulling the entire root ball vertically out of the ground.
No grinding. No digging. No crew. Straight up force matches the natural axis of the root system for a clean, complete extraction every time.
